THE LEGAL ATTITUDE DECLARED BY THE JUDGES OF THE DRUZE RELIGIOUS COURTS IN RESPONSE OF WHAT IS WRITTEN AND PUBLISHED IN CONTRAST TO THE FACT OF THE MOUWHAIDOUN DRUZE CONFESSION ISSUED ON 21/1/2009

In the Name of God, Most Merciful, Most Gracious

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, prayer and peace be upon our master Muhammad and on his family and companions, 

The judges of the Druze Religious Courts in Lebanon, Courts of First Instance and Courts of Appeal, after deliberation regarding the distortion and inaccuracy of published writings and articles on the internet and some magazines with respect to the substance of the monotheistic, Islamic doctrine; the fact which is considered as a conspiracy against the sect planned by the corruptors on ground from inside and outside the Mouwahidoun Druze community, violating the laws and regulations that forbid causing harm to any religious and social feeling.

Starting from their judicial and confessional responsibility, they emphasize the following principles:

First: The religion of Allah is the Islam revealed to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), and the Mouwahidoun Druze witness that there is no God but Allah and that Muhammad is his servant and messenger, acknowledge the elements of Islam and faith, believe in all prophets and messengers and what was revealed to them, do not differentiate among them in accordance with the Almighty saying in his Holy Qur’an,

“Say ye; “We believe In God, and the revelation Given to us, and to Abraham, Isma’il, Isaac, Jacob, And the Tribes, and that given To Moses and Jesus, and that given To (all) Prophets from their Lord: We make no difference Between one and another of them: And we bow to God (in Islam)” (The Cow sura – verse 136).

Second: Commitment to the Book of Allah, the Sunna of His Messenger continually attributed to him, and the statements of the Imams following our Imam, Emir Sayed Abdullah Altanoukhi, may God sanctify his secret.  

Third: Consider the doctrine of the Moslem Mowahidoun Druze as innocent of all that is published in incompatibility with the Holy Quran and what is emphasized in the True Islamic religion and as innocent of what expresses the opinion of the author only.

     Finally, we call on the secular and spiritual officials to work on the adoption of draft laws that govern the affairs and institutions of the Mouwahidoun Druze and ensure putting an end to all violations and abuses.

     We declare that the Druze Confessional Judiciary, in its course, is away from all the political factors and affinities, following the Almighty saying, ”It is your actions that God And His Apostles will observe.” (The Repentance sura – verse 94)

     God is All-truthful.
